Will any of this get my launch more upvotes?
No, and we do not claim it will. We never post, vote or comment on Product Hunt. The Launch Kit removes avoidable mistakes and tells you honestly what to expect; the Launch Pass reads your launch's public data and turns it into graphics and a widget. Neither one moves a number. Our Terms rule out any promise of upvotes, rankings, traffic or sign-ups in a section of their own.
What do I need before I can start?
That depends which of the two you want. The Launch Kit needs a link to your product and nothing else — no Product Hunt post, because the whole point is that you have not launched yet. The Launch Pass needs a finished Product Hunt post and its URL: you paste the URL and the assets are built from that launch's public data. Neither needs anything installed on Product Hunt or an account connected.
Can the widget show a number Product Hunt has not reported?
No. Upvotes, comments and the rating all come from Product Hunt's own API for your launch. If your launch has no comments yet, none are shown — nothing is substituted, and no example or placeholder text is ever displayed in their place.
Are there any monthly recurring subscription fees?
No. The Launch Pass is a strict one-time payment of 12,99 € per product launch, and the Launch Kit is a one-time 79 €. Neither has any monthly recurring fee. The pass gets you lifetime graphic downloads and a Proof Wall that live-syncs for 90 days, then keeps its final numbers embedded permanently.
What if I launch a second product in the future?
Each pass covers one Product Hunt launch. If you launch a new product later, buy a separate pass for it at whatever the price is then — currently 12,99 €.
Does the widget ever expire?
It never disappears from your page. Your 12,99 € Launch Pass includes 90 days of live-synced Product Hunt upvotes on your embeddable widget. After that it keeps showing your final synced numbers permanently, it just stops updating.
How fast are the social cards generated?
Within seconds of pasting your Product Hunt URL. The server renders high-resolution PNG social cards sized for X, LinkedIn and Instagram, ready to post as they are.
