The numbers you'll wish you'd had before launch day.
Nobody counts launch days. So we do. Every day, on 4 launch platforms, after the day has closed — and then you either have us prepare your launch from those numbers, or you take the numbers themselves.
Our own measurements, not estimates — every closed launch day, every day. See what a placement costs on each platform.
695 products launch on Product Hunt every day and most finish in single digits — decided in the week before, by founders nobody gave the numbers to.
Out of that come two things: your launch, prepared — platform, date and copy, written out ready to paste. Or the whole record — every measured day and what each placement cost, yours to query and export.
Your launch written out in 48 hours, starting with which platform it belongs on.
We take a limited number a week.

Every measured day on all 4 platforms, with weekday and category breakdowns and CSV export.
Our free directory for small tools. No upvotes, no launch day, and your listing stays up. A free account is all it takes.
This is what the data looks like
Not a dashboard tour — three of the actual views, in the shape you get them. They answer the questions a launch page never does: what a placement really costs, whether the weekday you picked matters at all, and which room you would have won on the day you already launched.
The figures below are made up, purely to show the layout. Every number inside the product is counted from a closed launch day.
What it took to get featured
Sample dataOn 3 out of 4 measured days, 150 votes were enough. The median sits at 120, and the hardest day measured asked for 240.
| Median day | 120 |
| 3 out of 4 days | 150 |
| Hardest day measured | 240 |
A distribution, not an average. An average tells you what happened; this tells you what to plan for.
Does the weekday matter?
Sample data| Weekday | Field | Featured from |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday | 700 | 140 |
| Thursday | 670 | 138 |
| Saturday thinnest | 440 | 134 |
The field carries; the threshold does not. Saturday is a third smaller — but getting featured still costs about the same, so a thin day does not make it easier. Where a difference sits inside the noise, the view says so instead of recommending a day.
128 votes, four rooms
Sample data| Board | First place | That day |
|---|---|---|
| Product Hunt | 460 | no placement |
| Uneed | 34 | first place |
| Show HN | 229 | top 10 |
| Fazier | 69 | first place |
The same launch, the same day, four different outcomes. Past tense only: this says what a placement cost on days that were counted — not that you would have won.
Sample figures throughout this section. The real ones are counted after every launch day closes — you can see a set of them for free on the launch check, or get all of them with data access.
Measured every day, not guessed
Everything here rests on the same thing: we read every launch day, on several launch platforms, after it closes — how big the field was, what the winner scored, what each placement cost. Every day, one more day on file.
That is what lets a review tell you something a guide cannot: which platform your launch actually belongs on, given the reach you can bring — and what it will realistically do once it is there. Not an opinion about launching. A count.
We will tell you when it is not. A launch with four upvotes has nothing to embed, and we would rather say so than sell you a badge for it.
Where else you can launchFrequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you buy.
Will any of this get my launch more upvotes?
No, and we do not claim it will. We never post, vote or comment on any launch board. The Launch Kit removes avoidable mistakes and tells you honestly what to expect; data access shows you what each placement cost on the days we measured. Neither one moves a number. Our Terms rule out any promise of upvotes, rankings, traffic or sign-ups in a section of their own.
What do I need before I can start?
That depends which of the two you want. The Launch Kit needs a link to your product and nothing else — no Product Hunt post, because the whole point is that you have not launched yet. Data access needs an account and nothing more; the archive is there whether or not you have ever launched. Neither needs anything installed or an account connected anywhere else.
Where do the numbers come from?
From the boards themselves, counted after each day has closed: Product Hunt, Uneed and Show HN through their official APIs, Fazier read off the page because it has no API. Nothing is modelled, estimated or filled in — where a day was not measured, it says so instead of showing a number.
Is there a subscription?
One of the three, yes. Data access is 29 € a month and can be cancelled any time in one click, without signing in — the button is in the footer of every page, and your access runs to the end of the period you paid for. The Launch Kit is a single payment of 79 €, and the comparison on the launch check is a single 4,99 €. Neither of those recurs.
What do I get for the monthly price that the free check does not give me?
The free check answers one launch against its own day. Data access is the whole record: every measured day on four boards, what each placement cost, weekday and category breakdowns, the board comparison for any number and any day, and CSV export. It also says how reliable each number is — some sources cut off, and days like that are marked as a floor rather than passed off as a total.
Do you tell me how much traffic a launch brings?
No, and nobody honestly can. None of these boards publishes visitor figures, so any number for that is an estimate being called data. We measure what a placement cost in upvotes on a given day. What it brought in is measured by your own analytics — put a UTM parameter on the link your listing points to and it will tell you exactly, because it is your own data.
Which boards do you measure, and how?
Four. Product Hunt, Uneed and Show HN through their official APIs; Fazier is read off the page, because it has no API. Each day is counted after it has closed, so the numbers are final rather than moving. Where a source cuts off — Uneed's ranking ends at place 50 — that day is stored as a floor and labelled as one.
