Measured every day, not guessed
We read every launch day on several launch platforms after it closes — how big the field was, what the winner scored, what each placement cost. That is what lets the launch planner tell you which platform your launch actually belongs on. Not an opinion about launching. A count.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you launch.
Is there a subscription?
No. Everything that measures or analyses is free, with no account and no email: the launch check, the launch planner, the launch statistics. The only thing you can pay for is a one-time featured spot shown on every LaunchAmp page. Nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel. See pricing for the details.
What do I need before I can start?
Less than you think. The launch planner needs one number: how many upvotes you can bring on the day. The launch check needs the link to a Product Hunt launch. Neither needs an account. You only need one to list your tool in the Launch Lounge.
The launch check looks back. What does the launch planner add?
The check answers one launch against its own day, after the fact. The planner answers a number against every day we measured, before the fact: how often the upvotes you can bring would have been enough for first place, the top five and the top ten on each of the five boards — with the spread of what a placement costs, the weekday effect per board, a month-by-month trend, and a note on how reliable each figure is. Some sources cut off, and days like that are marked as a floor rather than passed off as a total.
Do you tell me how much traffic a launch brings?
We measure what a placement cost in upvotes on a given day, counted after the day closed — that is the number you can plan with, and it is the one nobody else keeps. Visitor figures are a different matter: no board publishes them, so anything you see quoted for that is an estimate being called data. The exact answer is already in your hands — put a UTM parameter on the link your listing points to, and your own analytics tells you precisely what that placement brought in.
Which boards do you measure, and how?
Five: Product Hunt, Uneed, Show HN, Fazier, SmolHunt. Product Hunt, Uneed and Show HN through their official APIs; Fazier and SmolHunt are read off the page, because neither publishes one. Each day is counted after it has closed, so the numbers are final rather than moving. Where a source cuts off — Uneed's ranking ends at place 50 — that day is stored as a floor and labelled as one. SmolHunt has no archive at all, so it is counted forward from the day it was added and has fewer measured days than the rest.
